Wednesday 6 Week Wheel Throwing Course

Wheel Throwing for 6 weeks

A six week course where you can build your skills, consisting of 2.5 hours of instruction and wheel time, every Wednesday for 6 weeks. This course is offered to all skill levels, but it is recommended that you first take Intro to Wheel Throwing if you have never done anything on a potter’s wheel before. Class fee includes 25 lb. of clay and use of studio and glazes with supervision. Community tools are available if you don’t have your own. Basic skills will be covered including trimming and glazing. New skills will be introduced at students’ request as you move at your own pace. Students will be expected to clean their work stations at the end of each class. Work must be completed in the 2.5 hours provided. Students may bring an apron or towel. Short fingernails are recommended.

Additional studio use will cost $20/hr. Left over clay at the end of the six weeks must be taken home or it will be added to the recycle. Open to students age 16 and over. Runs each Wednesday from Feb 28 through April 3 from 6:00-8:30 PM.  After registration you will receive a confirmation email as well as an invoice which you can pay online or in person at class.
