Hand Built Clay Trees

Join Robin in the clay studio to craft your very own decorative clay tree. Using clay slabs, students can add texture to their tree using a variety of tools and materials, add a star to the top if they wish, and holes for light to pass through if they’d like to place it over a candle. Or they can learn how to cut a  spiral in their slab and stack it to create a softer tree that isn’t holiday specific. Trees can be painted with underglaze if students wish. After drying, trees will be glazed and high fired with your choice of color. Students will be be able to make one large tree or a pair of smaller ones if they choose.

Class is open to students age 16 and up, age 8 and up if accompanied by an adult. All materials provided, cost is $45.
