Join Robin in the clay studio to craft your very own decorative clay tree. Using clay slabs, students can add texture to their tree using a variety of tools and materials, add a star to the top if they wish, and holes for light to pass through. Or they can craft the spiral stacked clay tree that resembles a blue spruce if they prefer. Who doesn’t love options? Make it christmasy or just a tree, your choice. Trees can be painted with underglaze if students wish. After drying, trees will be glazed and high fired. You can place your finished tree over a candle or battery operated light if you wish.
Class is open to students age 16 and up, age 8 and up if accompanied by an adult. All materials provided, cost is $45.
