Classes and Events

A 3 hour class for the introduction to clay where you will learn the basic skills needed to use a potter’s wheel. Class will begin with a focus on centering and compressing the clay, followed by how to open, pull up walls, and form a cylinder. Forms and functions will be discussed and introduced. Open to anyone age 14 and up.

A six week course consisting of 3 hours of instruction and wheel time, once a week for 6 weeks, where you can build your skills. This course is offered to all skill levels, but it is recommended that you first take Intro to Wheel Throwing if you have never done anything on a potter’s wheel before. Class fee includes 25 lb. of clay and use of studio and glazes with supervision. Open to students age 14 and over.

Fiber artist Lindsey Sansoni will teach a variety of essential knotting techniques and lead you through the creation of two macrame XL paperclip bookmarks.
