Welcome to an introduction to wood burning with Mariana Russo. In this 3 hour workshop you will explore the art of Pyrography. Mariana will show you the basic steps to use the wood burning to decorate a wooden craft of your choice.
You will learn the basic techniques of decorative wood burning to create beautiful contemporary designs.
You will work on small wood pieces to practice the basics steps, and then move on to your masterpiece. You may choose to do your etching on a wooden birdhouse, a small keepsake tray, or a picture frame. To finalize this piece, you will paint it with watercolors and seal it with polyurethane.
All materials and tools will be provided. Cost is $55 per student, recommended ages 11 and up.
