Description: A foundational class with a hands-on instruction project. Designed for persons age 12+ who have little to no experience in jewelry creation. Students will be making a one-strand bead bracelet with a charm in their choice of colors. Foundation Topics covered include:
- Basic Vocabulary
- Workspace Safety and Hygiene
- Proper Tool Identification, Usage, and Handling
- Basic Color and Design Theory in Jewelry
Learning Outcome: Students will be able to safely and effectively use basic jewelry tools to create simple beaded projects. Students will have prerequisite skills that can be built upon in future classes.
